Alice in Wonderland

Good morning everyone.
Today I would like to share about what I did last weekend with my dad.
My dad said that in the past, there was an outstanding anime TV series called Alice in Wonderland.
Honestly, I have never heard about this film before.
That is why I did not pay much attention about his story.
I prefer to watch Octonauts with my little brother, Lintang.
However, my dad took  my ipad and played Alice, I was shocked.
This is because the opening song which was very wonderful and interesting.
I decided to watch the first episode of this TV series.
The title is Alice and Benny. In this episode, Alice meet a cute rabbit named Benny Bunny, when she bought an old hat from an antique shop.
She follows a white rabbit, Benny's uncle into a hole and she falls in Wonderland.
In Wonderland, she meets many interesting characters, such as the mysterious Cheshire cat and the terrible Queen of Hearts.
It seems that Alice lives in two worlds.
When she woke up from her dream, her surroundings have changed.
There are 52 episodes in this TV series.
My dad said that this film was made in 1983 in Japan bassed on the novel Alice's Adventures in Wonderland in 1865 and it's sequels in 1871.
So far, there are 47 films and television programs about Alice.
Now I cannot wait to watch the next episodes.
I thank my dad for being kind and introduce Alice in Wonderland to me.

My favourite movie

Good afternoon everyone.
Today I would like to share about my favourite movie.
The title is Laskar Pelangi or Rainbow Troops.
The movie is about a group of ten schoolboys in a poor village of Belitong of Sumatra.
They struggle with poverty and develop hopes for the future.
I love Lintang in this movie. He is a genius student.
However, his dad did not allow him to go to school.
Everyday he crosses crocodile infested swamps to get to school.
This movie teaches us friendship and care.
Many childrenare still having difficulties to get education.
I recommend you to watch this movie.

Seasons in Indonesia

Good afternoon everyone.
Today I would like to share about seasons in Indonesia.
The climate of Indonesia is almost entirely tropical.
Generally speaking,  there is a dry season and a rainy season in Indonesia.
Dry season is from June to September.
Rainy season is from December to March.
This is different from Australia which has four seasons: Summer, Autumn, Winter and Spring.
My dad right now is doing research in Indonesia.
He said that in Indonesia at the moment almost rain everyday.
I love rain because I can see a rainbow.
I love Indonesian seasons and Australian too.

Bonsai

Good morning everyone.
Today I would like to share about bonsai.
What is bonsai?
Bonsai is a Japanese art from using miniture trees grown in containers.
Bonsai is not intended for production of food, for medicine or for creating yard-size or park-size garden or landscapes.
Instead, bonsai practice focuses on long-term cultivation and shaping of one of more small trees growing on a container.
As a consequence, they look so beautiful, even prettier than those growing in the wild.
My dad loves bonsai very much. He spent his time a lot in order to create a beautiful bonsai.
He said that making bonsai is basically exercise of patient because it takes a year to do that.
In Indonesia we have many bonsai.
Our beautiful bonsai is made from bayan and tamarind trees.
Someday I will make a nice bonsai for my dad.

My hobby

Good morning everyone.
Today I would like to share about what my hobby is.
Actually, I have many hobbies in the past.
First, my favourite hobby is dancing.
When I was five, I got a trophy for dancing jaipongan.
Jaipongan is a traditional dance from west Java, Indonesia.
We have to wear traditional dresses during the dance.
It was very difficult to do that with 9 people.
There are strict rules in every movements.
I can't remember the dance anymore.
It needs a regular practice to master it.
I don't think there is any instructor of jaipongan dance here.
However, I still remember a part of it when I hear the jaipongan music on YouTube.
My second hobby is feeding pets.
When I was in Indonesia, my dad bought many animals for me so that I could feed them.
My dad said we have to love animals.
I was so happy that time because I had chickens, rabbits, birds, gold fishes and turtles.
Among these animals, my favourite was the turtles.
I had two brazilliand turtles.
They were green.
My dad called them Jacky Chan and Stephen Chow.
Because we moved to Australia, we had to give the animals to our relative.
I really miss dancing jaipongan and my pets.

My Dream Job

Good morning everyone.
Today I would like to share my dream occupation in the future.
I think my dream is clear that I want to be a doctor someday.
My dad told me that life can be more beautiful if we can contribute something to our society.
To be a doctor means I can help people to cure them from their illnes, save their lives and improve their health.
My dad also told me that in some areas in Indonesia, they don't have a doctor. As a consequence, many people died and suffer from their diseases.
I am very happy when my dad support my decision.
Do you know why?
My dad is afraid to see the doctor!
That is my dream job in the future.

Charlie Bear

When I first came to Australia, I went to a school named Wagga Wagga Public School.
One day, everyone had to take a teddy bear to school for Bandage Bear Day. That is how I got my first toy.
My first toy was Charlie.
He was my first toy that I had since I came to Australia.
Charlie is a brown bear.
My brother also likes Charlie.
He throws Charlie in the air.
Sometimes, I get mad at him for doing that.
From that day on, Charlie was my favourite toy out of all my other toys.
Even till today.

                                                      CHARLIE
