Fasting

From the 6th of June, we fasted until the 6th of July. When we fast, we have to wake up at 3 o'clock to eat the fasting starts about 4:29 am (Imsak) and opens at 5:50 pm. Fasting is fun for me because I don't get to eat all day, but I also get really hungry. My brother, Lintang, only fasts till the afternoon while I fast until evening. We sometimes don't fast only because my mum didn't wake up in time. When we open, I usually eat rice and nuggets. After that, I eat Choki-Choki (chocolate paste) Me and my brother loves it. Sometimes I forgot about how hungry I am by playing the PS3 all day or sometimes playing with my tablet and my brother's ipad of watching Pheanes and Ferb on tv. I like playing slugterra games. Soon after that I go to sleep.

Ella and Olivia Best friend showdown

Ella and Olivia are sisters. Ella is seven years old and Olivia is five and a half years old. Ella's best friend in the world is Zoe, she is also seven. Ella has green eyes and a fringe. She also has a brown ponytail at the back. Zoe has black hair and long eyelashes. Ella and zoe do everything together. At school, they sit next to each other and sometimes they whisper to each other and giggle. Ella has a little sister called Olivia, and a little brother called Max. Zoe has a big brother called Will and a cat called Bojangles. Ella wishes she could  have a pet of her own. Ella likes to stroke Bojangles' brown fur. Zoe thinks Olivia is cute. She has freckles on her nose and wears pigtails. Zoe wishes that she had a little sister too. Olivia is too young for big school so she likes to meet Ella and Zoe at the school gate and pretend she is a big girl. Next year, Olivia will start big school with her sister and Zoe. She will have a uniform just like her sister's but smaller. At school one morning, Miss Baker has some news for her students. They are going to work on an exciting project. Ella and Zoe love projects! They are going to sell chocolates to help raise money for the new hall. They have been given a box of chocolate which contains thirty bars of chocolate. Ella and Zoe thinks they can eat the chocolates in the boxes but Miss Baker told everyone that they have to sell the chocolate, not eat it. Whoever sells the most will get a Gold star award. Ella and Zoe both want the Gold star award. Ella's first costumer is Olivia. Olivia wanted the piece of chocolate, but Ella said that she has to pay 2 pounds to get it. Olivia was grumpy, but Ella said she will give a free one for Olivia if she helps sell the chocolates. The next few days she had netball to play. After netball, she was exhausted so she couldn't sell anymore chocolates. But,  Olivia secretly sold some of the chocolates to the mummies who was watching the netball practice. Zoe's first costumer was Will. He always play video games in his bedroom, so Zoe went there. Will finally found 2 pounds for the chocolate. At the end Zoe sold the same amount of chocolates as Ella! At school, Miss Baker announced who the winner was. It was Peter! He has sold nearly two whole boxes! There was a silver award too. It was awarded to Ella and Zoe! The have only 5 bars left! At home Ella added Olivia's name on the award with a glittery silver pen. She did not forget to slip a piece of chocolate under Olivia's bed. That night, they both had a lovely night's sleep.

Alice in Wonderland

Good morning everyone.
Today I would like to share about what I did last weekend with my dad.
My dad said that in the past, there was an outstanding anime TV series called Alice in Wonderland.
Honestly, I have never heard about this film before.
That is why I did not pay much attention about his story.
I prefer to watch Octonauts with my little brother, Lintang.
However, my dad took  my ipad and played Alice, I was shocked.
This is because the opening song which was very wonderful and interesting.
I decided to watch the first episode of this TV series.
The title is Alice and Benny. In this episode, Alice meet a cute rabbit named Benny Bunny, when she bought an old hat from an antique shop.
She follows a white rabbit, Benny's uncle into a hole and she falls in Wonderland.
In Wonderland, she meets many interesting characters, such as the mysterious Cheshire cat and the terrible Queen of Hearts.
It seems that Alice lives in two worlds.
When she woke up from her dream, her surroundings have changed.
There are 52 episodes in this TV series.
My dad said that this film was made in 1983 in Japan bassed on the novel Alice's Adventures in Wonderland in 1865 and it's sequels in 1871.
So far, there are 47 films and television programs about Alice.
Now I cannot wait to watch the next episodes.
I thank my dad for being kind and introduce Alice in Wonderland to me.

Seasons in Indonesia

Good afternoon everyone.
Today I would like to share about seasons in Indonesia.
The climate of Indonesia is almost entirely tropical.
Generally speaking,  there is a dry season and a rainy season in Indonesia.
Dry season is from June to September.
Rainy season is from December to March.
This is different from Australia which has four seasons: Summer, Autumn, Winter and Spring.
My dad right now is doing research in Indonesia.
He said that in Indonesia at the moment almost rain everyday.
I love rain because I can see a rainbow.
I love Indonesian seasons and Australian too.

Bonsai

Good morning everyone.
Today I would like to share about bonsai.
What is bonsai?
Bonsai is a Japanese art from using miniture trees grown in containers.
Bonsai is not intended for production of food, for medicine or for creating yard-size or park-size garden or landscapes.
Instead, bonsai practice focuses on long-term cultivation and shaping of one of more small trees growing on a container.
As a consequence, they look so beautiful, even prettier than those growing in the wild.
My dad loves bonsai very much. He spent his time a lot in order to create a beautiful bonsai.
He said that making bonsai is basically exercise of patient because it takes a year to do that.
In Indonesia we have many bonsai.
Our beautiful bonsai is made from bayan and tamarind trees.
Someday I will make a nice bonsai for my dad.

My hobby

Good morning everyone.
Today I would like to share about what my hobby is.
Actually, I have many hobbies in the past.
First, my favourite hobby is dancing.
When I was five, I got a trophy for dancing jaipongan.
Jaipongan is a traditional dance from west Java, Indonesia.
We have to wear traditional dresses during the dance.
It was very difficult to do that with 9 people.
There are strict rules in every movements.
I can't remember the dance anymore.
It needs a regular practice to master it.
I don't think there is any instructor of jaipongan dance here.
However, I still remember a part of it when I hear the jaipongan music on YouTube.
My second hobby is feeding pets.
When I was in Indonesia, my dad bought many animals for me so that I could feed them.
My dad said we have to love animals.
I was so happy that time because I had chickens, rabbits, birds, gold fishes and turtles.
Among these animals, my favourite was the turtles.
I had two brazilliand turtles.
They were green.
My dad called them Jacky Chan and Stephen Chow.
Because we moved to Australia, we had to give the animals to our relative.
I really miss dancing jaipongan and my pets.
